The Brothers Washburn:
Are Adam and Jason (Big Money Rodan) Washburn. We decided to become publishes and through that venture have been able the buck the trend of where print seems to be headed by befriending/believing in the artists we print and showcasing products from companies with heart. Along the way this path we have managed to add toys/collectibles and apparel and a few other things to the Brothers Washburn line.
San Diego Blood Bank:
In December 1950 the San Diego Blood Bank was established through the support of the San Diego County Medical Society. The foresight and dedication of founding fathers Dr. Thomas O’Connell and Dr. Frederick G. Hollander, led us to the San Diego Blood Bank of today, an organization known for excellence in its service to our community.
Throughout the years, the San Diego Blood Bank has stayed in the forefront of transfusion medicine, added donor centers and bloodmobiles to cover all of the region’s neighborhoods, diversified the blood bank’s donor base and formed lasting partnerships with organizations from all over the San Diego community. The San Diego Chargers, NBC 7/39, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Barona Casino, the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, Viejas Enterprises, the Leukemia Society, the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Sempra Energy, Qualcomm, the Southern California Cartoonists Society, the San Diego Padres and numerous local radio stations lead the list of more than 1,000 longtime San Diego Blood Bank community partners who help make blood donations possible.
Skinner:
Skinner lives and works in Sacramento California … listening to Melvins while painting and sculpting his way further into the heart of damnation and trying to bring along as much of humanity with him as possible … and getting paid for it … he also has art shows as proof. He recently proved it in Berlin and New York.

Alex Pardee:
I’m a freelance illustrator, apparel designer, writer, and i do some other artsy stuffs, which includes loving movies. I have a HUGE pancreas. I like back pain. I draw. And kiss. And eat. All at the same time. I like you. Unless your name is Simon Birch. In that case, you are a frog. If i am not creating, i will die. here is my “official” bio, which just means its a bunch of stuff about me that sounds weird cuz even though i didn’t write it, i am posting it here, and it seems lke it is in the third person, but check it out anyway. i contemplated changing all of the “alex pardee”s to “me” or “my” but then it sounded even more pretentious. ps. i love LOST, late 80’s horror movies and soundtracks to extreme sports movies like Rad and Bloodsport more than i love you, but there is still room in my heart for you. I promise. BIO: “Alex Pardee’s unique style is one conceived through watching years of horror movies, writing graffiti, and listening to gangster rap. His work best represents that of a circus sideshow cemetery. Final pieces are often brought to life by translating random shapes and colors into signs of torment and absurdity. By juxtaposing these two conflicting moods, Alex makes his works more personal to his viewers, forcing them to project their own feelings and emotions onto each character in his twisted universe. After months of hospitalization and many futile attempts at seeking out professional help, Alex finally overcame his battle with severe depression and anxiety through his own form of therapy: art. His love for drawing and painting spawned from his fascination with the grotesque images of Garbage Pail Kids and Tales from the Crypt comics. For years Alex used sketch drawing and graffiti as an emotional outlet. He started photocopying collections of his sketches and scattering them around the Bay Area. He began placing his homemade books between the pages of tattoo and porn magazines, in clinic waiting rooms, and in public bathrooms. With the help of street canvas and Kinkos, Alex was able to overcome his emotional setbacks and move forward in the world of artistic expression. In 1999 Alex was convinced by other artists to reprint his books professionally. He began working long shifts at a local toy store to finance this reprinting, and later that year My Book of Colors was released. Since the release Alex has devoted every minute of his life to creating an entire universe of characters and monsters. In the past five years he has continued to release books like The Secrets of Hollywood and the popular Bunnywith series. The comics have spawned an entire plush line, calendars, and art exhibitions. Alex Pardee’s devotion to his art has gained the attention of Warner Bros., Reprise Records, Freeze Management, Hurley International, KidRobot, Twenty Twenty Skateboards, and more. In 2004 he was tapped by the gold-selling rock group The Used to design the artwork for their album, In Love and Death. Alex’s designs were not only applied to record, but also the band’s merchandise, Website, marketing campaign, and the music video for the single “All That I’ve Got.” More recently, Alex Has been working with Def Jux recording artist CAGE, as well as STREET DRUM CORPS, TOP-R, EL-P, and high-fashion designer Dr. Romanelli. In addition to demeaning celebrities, Alex continues to use his art as a means of self-medication, creating emotionally charged images on canvases, sketchbooks, and any other surfaces he can cover with his bizarre characters.
Andrew Bell was born in England in the late 70’s, but has spent most of his life in the USA. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NYC where he has lived and worked for the last 8 years for such notable companies as Marvel Comics and Nickelodeon.
He is largely known for his illustration project entitled ‘the Creatures in my Head’. His wildly imaginative monsters have clawed their way out of his website onto t-shirts, prints, books and most recently toys produced by ‘Dyzplastic’, the toy division of his company ‘Dead Zebra, Inc.’
Despite having ‘been at it’ for several years now, Andrew claims that he is just getting started. Upcoming projects include plenty of new artwork, several solo and group art shows, new original toys and a few customs too!
Dutch artist and designer Femke Hiemstra has a unique style and vision that evokes the work of Robert Williams and Mark Ryden, but with a less cynical worldview that invites the viewer to enter the magic spaces she creates. Rock Candy is the artist’s first retrospective and fully spotlights her talent, whimsy and wit in a deluxe package certain to catapult her to the forefront of the Pop Surrealism movement. Hiemstra’s paintings and illustrations are united by a meticulous attention to craft that gives life to her dark, lush, fairytale landscapes where inanimate objects come to life and frolic with anthropomorphs of all types. She incorporates mixed media, found objects, typography, and a variety of influences ranging from fireworks packaging to Japanese woodblock prints.
Travis Lampe grew up in a small town in Kansas. After earning a degree in Graphic Design, he took a job in advertising as an art director in Chicago. While making ads for breakfast cereals and well known purveyors of inexpensive furniture over a period of several years, he secretly began “developing his illustration style,” which is not the same thing as “procrastinating.” Finally, when he felt the world was ready, he began his slow explosion onto the art and illustration scene, as it were. He currently lives and works in Chicago.
I’m an independent comic illustrator who loves heavy metal. I’m on the prowl for professional comic work – so if anyone is interested in getting commissioned work from me please feel free to contact me anytime.
