Words from Bob Motown

bob-motown-color-ink-book-Slayer-Bear-CreamWhere do you find inspiration for your art?

Somewhere over the rainbow…

What mediums do you prefer to work with, and why?

I like to work with technical pens/markers and acrylic inks the best. I find them the most comfortable to work with and I can get lovely flat fields of color.

bob-motown-colorinkbook-BEASToftheSEA-MainWho are your greatest influences?

Moebius and my Father.

Does music influence your work, and whom are you listening to these days?

I go through phases where it influences it greatly and others where i am more influenced by people and my warped sense of humor. Right now I have SPARK MASTER TAPE’s “The #SWOUP Serengeti” on repeat

bob-motown-color-ink-book-project-rabbitWhat is your all-time favorite quote?

“Don’t try” -Charles Bukowski

What are the biggest differences between living in LA and London?

Public transit, the weather, and the people. Both places are equally amazing but they are also equally different.

bob-motown-colorinkbook-bobmotown-What is your all time favorite movie?

PREDATOR by far…

If you could go anywhere in time and space, where would it be and why?

I wouldn’t. I have a deep rooted fear than any form of time travel would be cataclysmic.

bob_motown_colorinkbookTARDIS or DeLorean?

I would park my DeLorean inside my TARDIS. That is not a euphemism!

How does a typical day in your life start?

Each day I spend at least an hour in bed contemplating my dreams. I have an incredibly rich and complex dream life.
